some grow back Sometimes the skin will have a small amount that does not cut when punched. But is easily pulled off if does not completely cut. I web mark the chicks as soon as they are dry from hatching but after 2 weeks a few will grow back so I go through all the chicks again to see if I need to re punch any of them.
